Directions from A14

Leave the A14 at Bury St Edmunds, taking the A143 (signposted Diss, Gt Yarmouth). Follow this road for approx 25 to 30 miles.

At Harleston, go straight over a roundabout (not turning left into Harleston). A short distance beyond this roundabout, turn off down a small road on the right; (this is easily missed - look out for a white sign to Fressingfield). Turn right again, and then follow this road through Weybread and into Fressingfield.

Take the first left turn in Fressingfield (beside the stream). This road will take you to Silverleys Green. Follow the road round to the left, then take the next right turn into Spong Lane (there is no sign for this lane, but it has a blue sign 'unsuitable for Heavy goods Vehicles'). Turn right at the other end of the lane.

After passing the Poacher (pub) on your left, turn right into Church Road. School Farm Cottages is on the right.

Directions from A12

The A12 merges with the A14 as it travels around Ipswich, and there are 2 alternative routes which take about the same time; if when you turn off the A12 at Ipswich you turn right (ie Eastbound) then you need to turn off this road 3 miles after the Orwell Bridge (signposted A12 Lowestoft), or you will find yourself in Felixstowe.

Turn off the A12 onto the B1116, and follow this road through Framlingham to Dennington. Cross the A1120 and continue on the B1116 for about 4 miles until you come to a sharp bend with ‘Cotton and Downes’ straight ahead of you. Turn right here (signposted to Laxfield).

You come into Laxfield with the primary school on your left. Just past the school turn right at the war memorial and go down the village street to the end. There is a shop and the church on your left. The road bends round to the right but turn off left beside the Royal Oak.

Pass a row of council houses on your right. There are now two left turns close together opposite Corner Farm. Take the second of these signposted to Cratfield. Follow this road for about two miles until the next junction and turn left. Take the next right turn at Church Farm. Turn left into Church Road. School Farm is the only property on the left at the top of the small hill. There is a green sign at the end of the drive.

The alternative route around Ipswich turns left (ie Westbound) onto the A14, then takes the A140 (signposted towards Norwich) before turning right onto the A1120. Follow the A1120 as far as Dennington then turn left onto the B1116 and then follow the directions above.
